In een heerlijke ambiance hebben we van een 5-gangen menu met bijpassende wijnen genoten. Heel smaakvol.
All in all my husband and I had a very nice evening with good food and excellent choice of wines. Two of the dishes stood out: the crawfish bisque with crispy polenta and the pork cheek.
It was not our first time at Bij Broeders and it certainly is not going to be our last.

Middag voor de reservering werden we gebeld met de vraag of er nog ergens rekening mee gehouden moest worden. Erg netjes!
Gerechten allemaal superlekker en verrassend. Wij hadden er een half wijn arrangement bij genomen, waarbij de sommelier bij elke wijn een goede uitleg gaf. Duidelijk verstand van wijn en erg gepassioneerd.
Wij hadden bij Broeders een prima vrijdagavond. Alleen aanmerkingen op het tempo van keuken of bediening of beide: na de inleidende amuse duurde het erg lang voor de eerste 3 van 6 gangen doorkwamen. Wijnarrangement was o.k., maar in verhouding wat prijzig.

Restaurant Bij Broeders in Zwolle is run by two brothers Sven has been in the ministry since he was 16 and has worked at Os & Peper, Koperen Kees and Basiliek Harderwijk, among others. Hospitality and wines are his specialties. Sven: "Watching guests leave the door with a smile, that is my goal every evening." Bjorn has stood in various kitchens, including that of 't Nonnetje in Harderwijk,' t Wolhuys and De Librije. As a result, he has experience in various cooking and kitchen styles, from oriental to Mediterranean and from 'simple' to 3-star. Bjorn: "Tastes have to fit together, sometimes in extremes.
